Review of the Get To Know Ya Tournament on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th, September 2008

  Cresent Heights Ogden
1st Place: The Misfits Champ-Trons
2nd Place: Anger Management Hooters & Looters

This year we had some fantastic weather to play ball. We had many close games but of course you can only have one winner. This year in the C Bracket we had Easy Lays win. Battling for first place overall were The Misfits from Crescent Heights playing the Champ-Trons from the Ogden Division with the Champ-Trons taking 1st place. A good year for both The Misfits and the Champ-Trons as both teams won their divisions too. Many thanks to the staff at Shouldice Park, SPN and the umps.

Hope to see you next year for a great 2009 season.

State of Emergency - No Tourny.

Review of the Get To Know Ya Tournament on Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd, July 2006

  Cresent Heights Ogden
1st Place: Anger Management Champ-Trons
2nd Place: Lethargics Centennials

Win One Soon has done it! It took nine years to make it to the top, but only after playing many games on Sunday and having to play Hit'N'Run twice. Everybody had the sunscreen on as we enjoyed a hot and sunny weekend. The consolation bracket was won by The Slammers. What happened to the Ogden teams?

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Thank you to the SPN Umpires Association for all the fair calls and for running the beer garden. And thanks to Trevor at SPN.

Review of the Get To Know Ya Tournament on Saturday 24nd & Sunday 25rd, July 2004

  Cresent Heights Ogden
1st Place: Hit 'N' Run Darby Arms
2nd Place: Win One Soon Hooters & Looters

Well it finally happened! Hockey is done. Saturday was great with the nice sunshine and a steady flow of teams throughout the day. As the clock counted down to 6:00 PM everybody wondered who would be playing during the 6th and maybe final Flames game of the season. As it turned out, nobody played!

Sunday was gloomy both in weather and Flames spirit and proved to be too much for us. The rain came and was not going to go away. For the first time ever, the outcome of the tournament would be determined by a coin toss. Bob the Fish, Darby Arms, Win One Soon and Hit'N'Run are just a few of the teams that were playing well. The teams picked the luckiest coin toss player and we started flippin!

This is what happened...First Place: Darby Arms. Second Place: Bob The Fish. Third Place: Junkyard Dogs. Thanks to Trevor and the boys at SPN for keeping the beer flowing and the SPN Umpires for umping the games. A very big thanks to the few teams that were shuffled around because of the diamond confusion. It won't happen again.

Review of the Get To Know Ya Tournament 2003

  Cresent Heights Ogden
1st Place: 0* Palatal

League teams only; below is a review of the 2003 tournament. Get To Know Ya! 2003 is over. We had a great time out and some terrific Slo-Pitch. The weather was a steady mixture of cloud, wind drizzle and sunshine. It all came down to The O* of the Crescent Heights division and Palatal of the Ogden division. After both teams showed fantastic sportsmanship, The O* took first place. The C Division was a duel between Awkward Position and The Porcelain Gods with Awkward Position ending up on top. We at Please Me Club would like to thank Trevor Hauser of SPN, all of the umpires and the players for a great tournament.

Good Fun, Good Sun!
